The Virtual Specialized Departments of Athens Medical Group’s hospitals and clinics are specialized healthcare departments, Centers of Excellence and Reference Centers focusing on specific fields of medicine. They are staffed by highly specialized Doctors providing top-quality healthcare services.

These Athens Medical Group services are now available through the TeleHospital digital platform to offer patients remote access.

The Virtual Specialized Departments provide access to Doctors whose clinical interests focus on specific cutting-edge medical practices related to each part of the body, and on the targeted treatment of specific conditions.

Our specialists perform surgical procedures and other complex diagnostic tests by applying advanced technologies to provide personalized therapies and treatment plans.

You do not need a referral from a General Practitioner to visit the Virtual Specialized Departments. You can select the Doctor you want and book an appointment, based on availability, and receive the Doctor’s specialized assessment and care you need.

To conduct a video call for your TeleHospital appointment, you will need one of these devices:

  • Desktop computer with a webcam and speakers
  • Laptop with a built-in camera or a webcam and speakers
  • Tablet / iPad with built-in webcam and speakers
  • Smartphone with at least iOS 13 or Android 10 operating system (Note: To use a smartphone, you will first have to download the TeleHospital app, available for iOS and Android devices from the respective app stores.)

You will also need an internet connection with a speed of at least 0.35 Mbps or a 4G signal.

For the best experience, a reliable, high-speed broadband connection of at least 10-15 Mbps or 5G signal is recommended to minimize connection issues and ensure optimal image and sound quality.
