The service – available 24/7 – allows Doctors who deal with cases outside their field of specialization and without access to a hospital to conduct a video call with Doctors in five specializations (Internist, Orthopedist, Cardiologist, General Surgeon, Pediatrician).
The Doctor collects the patient’s medical information they wish to clarify or review together with the Athens Medical Group’s Doctor through the TeleHospital platform. The patient’s Doctor then schedules a video call within the next 2 hours. The consulting Doctor’s medical opinion is received after completing the video call.

The Doctor who wishes to conduct a teleconsultation with an Athens Medical Group Doctor registers on the platform, fills out the necessary information, states the preferred time for the appointment, and waits for confirmation of the consulting Doctor’s availability from the Help Center.
The only requirement for the user requesting the teleconsultation is having access to a computer, tablet or mobile phone with a camera and a microphone, as well as a high-speed internet connection to prevent interrupted service during the teleconsultation.
The need for a teleconsultation between Doctors varies case by case: from instructions for initial support to assistance by a specialized Doctor in more complex cases.
It is also suitable for a Doctor onboard a ship or at a hotel located far from a hospital where a case may arise that does not fall under that Doctor’s specialization and the medical opinion of a specialist is necessary.
