Patients can request a second medical opinion if:
TeleHospital is an innovative platform of online medical services on which users can register and then take part in the teleconsultation process without leaving the platform environment.
If you know a specific Doctor, you can select them for a teleconsultation and be notified of their availability.
In any case, the TeleHospital Scientific Team and the Help Center are there to help you every step of the way and to assign your request to the most appropriate specialization or specialized Medical Team so you can receive the best possible care.
The procedure for both services is the same. Specifically:
A. When selecting the “Medical Opinion” option, the patient receives the medical opinion after the medical file has been assessed, without a video call with the Doctor.
B. When selecting the “Medical Opinion with a Video Call” option, a teleconsultation is scheduled and takes place between the patient and the Doctor who has been assigned to review the medical file. Teleconsultation is followed by the medical opinion.
There is a fixed charge for service that involves more than one specialization.
The Second Medical Opinion – from Doctor to Patient – is completed when the medical opinion is issued within 48 to 72 hours, except for cases which require more complex handling or the medical opinion of the Oncology Board.
The cost of the service is €50.00 for a medical opinion without a video call and €80.00 for a medical opinion with a video call.
