If the General Practitioner deems it necessary, they prescribe tests and medication.
The General Practitioner can make an initial assessment of urgent cases (not emergency cases).

Athens Medical Group’s 24/7 Care service is available 24 hours a day to respond to cases which require urgent medical care. This service does not serve emergency cases. If your condition is deemed serious, you will have to phone 166 or 112 (in Greece) or your local emergency number immediately so you can get to the nearest hospital.
